Jenna
A licensed paralegal, Jenna oversees legal services, program development, and the strategic direction of the Inside Justice Project. Her work is informed by her legal education and extensive direct involvement assisting incarcerated individuals and their families as they navigate complex legal and correctional systems. She is committed to improving access to justice for people who are often left without meaningful legal information, advocacy, or community support. Jenna also leads the development of practical resources and programs designed to promote accountability, strengthen family connections, and support successful reintegration.
Kim
Kim brings 22 years of experience as a former correctional officer, providing valuable insight into correctional environments, institutional practices, and the challenges faced by incarcerated individuals. As Director of Indigenous Healing and Wellness, she leads the development of culturally informed supports focused on Indigenous wellness, community connection, and healing-centred approaches. Kim works to ensure that IJP’s programs recognize the importance of culture, identity, lived experience, and meaningful relationships throughout rehabilitation and reintegration. Her experience helps bridge the gap between institutional systems and compassionate, community-based support.
Director, Gang-Exiting Initiative and Media
Chance
Chance combines lived institutional experience with many years of service as a former Canadian police officer, giving him a valuable understanding of both correctional systems and the realities faced by justice-involved individuals. As Director and Program Coordinator for IJP’s media and gang-exiting initiatives, he focuses on mentorship, accountability, media engagement, and practical support for individuals working toward positive change and successful reintegration. He also helps prepare individuals and families for incarceration and provides administrative support during the early stages of complex legal and correctional matters, including intake, information gathering, record organization, and connection to appropriate IJP services.
